Our Company Profile and Philosophy

Enger Architecture was founded over 25 years ago by Colorado Architect Greg Enger.  Greg began his career in 1976 as a draftsperson for various builders and Architects around the Wisconsin area after attending an Associates program in Architecture at Madison.  In 1979 he went to work for an Architecture firm who moved from Chicago to rural Wisconsin.  This firm practiced only passive solar and sustainable design Architecture around the midwest.  They were selected to plan and design a new town center in Soldiers Grove, WI which was slated to be a new "solar only" village with the requirement that all buildings must be at least 50% passive solar.  In 1982 Greg moved to Denver to work with a prestigeous Architectural firm for the next 14 years while aquiring his license to practice Architecture in 1993.  Greg left to begin his practice in 1997 and has been growing steadily since.  Greg's interests include the outdoors, fly fishing, Formula One racing and general aviation while earning his pilots license in 1988.

Our diversified design style continues to grow by following trends, improving our standard practice, and listening to our client. Our unique service has established our place in the Colorado market. This allows us to make a distinctive and substantial impact for our clients.  We understand the importance of trust our clients place in us as well as our responsibility to represent their best interest.

We have experience with a wide variety of building types and styles.  These include light commercial-industrial and child care as well as Custom Residential, Air Park Communities, Remodel, Historical Renovation and Sustainable (Green) Design.  Our primary practice encompasses Colorado but also have completed projects in California, Virginia and Maryland.  With today's technology, we typically have no problem working on projects anywhere in the country.  We are always looking for new and exciting design challenges.

Our services include a complete Schematic Design through Construction Documents package.  During Preliminary Design, we have the skills to utilize computer aided visualization tools that offer detailed 3D photorealistic or presentation studies for ease of investigating a wide range of design options.  Our standard design software includes ArchiCAD and (Real Engine) Twinmotion.  Other optional services can be selected such as Construction Administration and Design-Build packages.  Due to the extreme time and attention required to provide General Contracting services, we can accept only one Design-Build project per year.
